Thank you for your video, yes I kow that we are in the same business and
it’s nice to see that you are telling people exactly the same message that
I am. The problem is though that local business owners don’t seem to
understand the importance of the message or of internet marketing for local
businesses, even though Google and the other search engine understand it,
and have spent a lot of money and time trying to help local businesses. I
have subscribed to your channel.

Thanks for subscribing! I think small businesses are slowly coming round to
the idea that they need to have some kind of online strategy when it comes
to marketing themselves. Facebook has done a lot to bring people to that
realization, but I think Google Places is now slowly being recognized as
being really important to businesses. It’s a pity that Google have chosen
to rebrand the name now, just as the term Google Places is now becoming a
popular term.

I agree it makes some my articles look like they are out of date, but all
that they have done is change the way the listing looks, and now you can’t
use videos anymore, they have also changed the way that the local business
is rated.

I am keeping an open minded on the changes right now. I do like the new
‘Overall’ scoring system, but I’m not sure of why they changed the old 5
star system to the 0 to 3 rating scale. I do think it was a mistake taking
out the videos though. I guess we’ll see in time.
