No longer will you always see the same video that was optimized to rank nationally for a keyword. SEO on local videos is even more important than ever. Even as of last week if you searched for spray tanning on Google, you would get the same video that everyone else saw. If you searched for spray tanning wichita, you would get a local video. We all know that the local 3-pack was showing local searches without having to enter a city, but now we are seeing the same thing happen with videos!

Another Local SEO Tip: Make sure and go into the Advanced Settings of your YouTube video and you will see a location field. Add your local city or zip code that you are trying to rank for in that field! As you can see it clearly says, “Searchable on public videos.”
