Setting Up Local Rank Tracking – Local SEO and Business Listings WordPress Plugin

In this video we will discuss how to set up the Local Rank Tracking Feature in the Local SEO and Business Listings WordPress Plugin.

Video Transcript:

1. First we will go to Rank Tracking Tool Summary.

– It is normal for new websites or websites that have not been optimized to not initially rank for desired keywords.

2. Now we will click on the Brief tab to add Local Google Results.

3. Next click on Settings.

– We will be optimizing for Indianapolis, IN.

4. Click on Search Engines

5. Click the Add a Search Engine button

6. Click Google.com (USA)

7. Change the Location field to your desired City.

8. We also suggest you check the SafeSearch option.

9. Now click Add

Next we will refine our results.

1. Click on the Paid & Verticle Results tab.

– We only want to track Organic Results and NOT advertising so we are going to uncheck Ads and Shopping, however, you can track what ever makes sense for your business needs.

2. We also want to show the Local Results within Google’s normal vertical results.

3. To do this we tick this option check box.

4. We can now click Save.

5. To finish the process we will want to click Rescan now.

When the scan is complete you will either see rankings or for new websites like the one in this video you may just see dashes.

You will see your new column with your
configured local search engine.
