3 Local SEO Tips That Can Get You On Page 1 Of Google

HERE’S THE BIG NEWS….

Your competition is doing a really shitty job at local SEO, and you can take advantage big time.

There are many ways that you can get your local business top of the pile in Google, Yahoo and Bing and the good news is that many service businesses from the evidence I’ve seen, are not doing a very good job. If you only do these three things you will be doing what the vast majority of businesses are not doing.

1. Get your business listed in Google Business (seems obvious right?), and get your friends, business associates and most importantly, your customers to write a short review for you.

2. List your business with free local directories such as Yelp, Gumtree, Yellow Pages or Golden Pages, and other smaller local business directories. Also ask for reviews here if they offer it in the listing. (It’s good to note that the reviews should be genuine)

Also find free advertising sites in your local area. There are plenty to choose from. But be careful to choose ones that are reputable, then list your services there.

3. Now this is the big one. In industries where your competition are not very sophisticated and are not doing this (may are not I can assure you), you can totally land on page one of Google with this tactic alone – Create project pages detailing the work you have done and where you have done it.

Include the following info in your project pages;

A. Your keyword + the geo location in the page title
B. Your keyword + the geo location in the url
C. Your keyword + the geo location in the meta description
D. Your keyword + the geo location in the images you use on the page
E. Your keyword + the geo location in a h2 heading on the page
F. Your keyword + the geo location in body of your page
G Use Yoast SEO Plugin
H. Include a Google Map in the post
I. Include the address in the post
J. Include the client name and email if they approve, and also include a testimonial with their photo.
